New job... Yikes!

Here's the thing... I used to like the work life.  Being productive, staying busy and doing the normal work life stuff.  But after having a baby, all I want to do now is be a mom!  The company I worked for closed the doors the week I gave birth.  That was actually a blessing in disguise!  I wasn't happy where I was at and had no potential of moving up.  Plus, that gave me 2 months at home with my sweet little boy instead of a lousy 3 weeks.  But, reality set in and I realized that we really couldn't survive by Billy working and me just being Mom of the year... so I got a job.

Today was my 2nd day.  And since I am able to type this, that means I'm not crying!  Yesterday, on the other hand, I was an emotional wreck.  Leaving the baby all day was a lot harder than I thought.

The job seems great.  Wonderful CEO of the company and all the girls that I work with seem great too.   I'm excited to be a part of this growing company but continue to pray for strength and energy.

Maybe someday Billy will bring in the big bucks and I can just be a mom and wife.  Until then... duty calls.

Reminding myself of this:  The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you.

I'll leave you with this sweet face :)

Finally back to the blog world

Here we are... 1 year later.  Guess I forgot about the blog stuff and got caught up in all the crazy things life throws at you.  We sure have been busy since the last time I posted!  And I plan on keeping it updated this time ;).

For the second time, lets backtrack a little, shall we?  I have worked my butt off, got a new car, colored my hair, (a bunch of little fun things).  But all that seems to just be irrelevant now.  On March 9, 2012 Billy and I took a trip to Clemson for a baseball game.  That morning, everything smelled bad, got car sick the whole way there, Billy's air fresheners made me want to puke and so on. Needless to say, when we returned from this challenging trip, I took 2 pregnancy tests.  Both being positive of course!  We went to the Dr. on March 12th and I was 6 weeks along.  For the next 10 weeks, I had morning, noon and night sickness!  So surprised Billy is still around and didn't move out during that time.  But, he helped me every time I needed to throw up and somehow we made it through!
On May 9th - It's a BOY!

Yikes! About to pop!

Due date was November 1st.  Dr. Green made me wait until November 7th to induce.  Labor was a long process and ended up having a c-section.  William Parker Etter was born on November 8th at 12:56am.  7lbs 2oz. ... PERFECT

He is now a whopping 13lbs of pure cuteness and I couldnt imagine a day without him! He is everything we hoped he would be and more.

Thats all for today!  Glad we got to play catch up!

Story Line

It is such a beautiful day today!  Yesterday afternoon on my way home from work, it said it was 64!
Maybe today will be the same :)  I may go home and go for a run.  Lord knows I need to!

Since I am still new at this... let me backtrack a bit and give a little short story of our life so far...

Billy and I met through flag football.  My brother-in-law played against Billy's team and my sister and I attended most of the games.  To make a long story short, I was asked out on a date.  We started spending more and more time together and shortly became an item.  We broke up once but made it through!  Shortly after, being the good girlfriend that I was, I decided to help him buy an English Bulldog.  Billy had always wanted one.
And this is Gus as a puppy!  He was so cute and nothing but wrinkles.  He's still cute and full of wrinkles now, but along with that comes drooling, shedding, farting, humping and so on.  (Lovely I know!)  But we love him.

This was his first Halloween... the costume didn't last long (as you can see in the first picture).  He didn't like it very much.

A year or so later, he popped the question!  And I said "Of course"!
We decided to wait a little over a year and get married that summer.

For our engagement pictures, we went to the river, to a big field with tall grass and walked down to a farm and got some with the barn and tractor.  Ya know, a true Tennessee photo shoot!

Then came the day I married my best friend!  It was fairly small, with just close friends and family.  It was a perfect day.

And now... this is the married life!!  We are both better people.  Most importantly, we have a better relationship with God, a happy marriage, a good relationship with our families, a house that we are very thankful for, jobs and have a lot of great friends!

Girls Weekend

Well, I had to steal a couple pictures of the girls weekend in Knoxville/Gatlinburg.  We had a great time visiting Holly.  Glad she is moved in and likes her place... but I wish her place was a lot closer!  I drove down on Friday after work.  Got to Knoxville at about 8:00.  I sang a lot of good tunes to keep myself awake on the way there!  Once the rest of the girls got there, we stayed up late and talked and snacked the night away. :)

This was on Saturday before we headed to Gatlinburg.
Wish we would've taken a picture of the car ride there!  A 30 minute drive turned into an almost 2 hour ride getting through traffic!  Kayley kept us entertained, thats for sure!

This would've been just perfect if they had a CLEMSON hat for me...
but they must have been all sold out of those ;)

We walked around Gatlinburg for a while and then ate at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant that night!  I headed back home after dinner.  Wish we all lived closer so we could have more weekends like this.

On Sunday, my friend Jessica got married.  I went to help her get ready for the big day!  It was very simple, but beautiful!  That night flew by... and of course back to work on Monday.  The weekends go by too fast!

Day 1

Hello everyone!  I'm new at this blog thing but I think I'm going to love it.  A new friend of mine has recently introduced it to me.  I think it will be a good way for out of town family to stay updated of our life in Tennessee.  Hope ya'll enjoy!
